AMONGST THE BEST
A second race takes place at the same time of the 12 Hours : the Quad Contest in partnership with the magazine Quad passion. It's a race opened to amateur and real springboard to competition.
 
In the same spirit than the race of the elites, the PDV Quad Contest is a 2 Hours endurance race, opened to all the pilots - single or two - with quads made in series. Because of the success in 2000, this year the number of entries has been brought up to 50.The machines will ride on a part of the 12 Hours track and there are 3 rounds (1 hour and 2 x 30 mn), that means real sprints with wild fightings. There are two categories of quads : the Stocksport very near from the serie with only a limited preparation and the SuperStock with an improved mechanism in order to allow performance similar to the competition machines. Thus the PDV is a promotion formula since the winner wins his entry to the 12 Hours the following year and can compete with the worldwide elite.
